Collection: Underwood: A Decade of Decadence
The Future of Fashion
If you made it this far then you're one of us. That means you understand the evolution of trend and grasp what's missing from today's fashion universe: order. It's enough to make people like us crazy, don't you think? Well relax—I've got a brilliant plan and you're quick enough to keep up. Let's bring home the bacon!
Narssica was designed to belong to a generation—exactly one decade (actually 11 years but more on that in a minute) of cultural impact, then a perfect ending. People dress poorly for two simple reasons: they lack inspiration and no one teaches them. We solve both and we do it on a schedule that feels natural and intuitive to the player. Because every style house receives the same inspirato themes, there will be elements that make this evolution feel progressive and natural to every Underwood explorer. This is how trends should feel but instead of banking that we'll get ahead of them organically, we know what's coming because we've planned it.
THE STRATEGIC VISION
Year 1: System development, entry path construction, team establishment
Years 2-11: Five fashion capitals, each serving specific life-stage psychology
Revenue: Profitable from day one through subscription + brand partnerships
THE FIVE-CITY PROGRESSION
Underwood (3 years) • Hollywood Discovery
90s glam meets 70s influence. Players master system fundamentals while discovering personal style. The first year is "training wheels" but not just for the development team—for the players too.
Londinium (2 years) • British Sophistication
60s mod inspiration. Structured punk rebellion for players ready for refinement. Think rebel without a flaw.
Novorium (2 years) • NYC Power
80s imperial edge. Professional confidence for career-focused demographics. No nonsense, grown-up style with a sense of boldness.
Luxuria (2 years) • Parisian Luxury
By year eight our players have developed the confidence, the money, and the appetite for everything luxe. Our ladies and gentleman are older and have more money. The iconic French silhouettes were born for this. Welcome to our sellout era!
Prima (2 years) • Italian Mastery
In years ten and eleven, we're dealing with fully formed, confident fashion enthusiasts. Even our most conservative players will be encouraged to take risks before the moment passes. Think bold, unapologetic couture that's daring, aspirational and experimental!
THE GENERATIONAL HANDOFF
By the time we reach Luxuria I will have begun architecting the next generation. I believe we can introduce new Iconics at this time to test my theories of where trends will head. Imagine making something appear that may seem random to traditional Underwood explorers—but that's EXACTLY how trends are born. They start as a subtle change and before you know it they crystallize and a new dawn is born. Those new Iconics will help us launch the new franchise by showing us exactly what inspires players that will want a separation.
Underwood ends after Prima—no sequels, no extensions. The methodology transfers to new teams building fashion worlds for the next generation while original players become industry leaders who learned style through gameplay, not retail.
But here's the reality: Underwood will lose its relevance. That doesn't mean we can't keep the old Iconics the same way an old mall still gets foot traffic. People can log back in and replay the game, and the Iconics that were once hot and spicy are still maintaining their narrative—maybe with smaller, newer fashion houses that can spin the old style in new ways. There will always be a type of person that loves being immersed in that world. Our job with legacy is to keep those Underwood Explorers looking relevant without beating a dead horse.
THE ULTIMATE OUTCOME
We create the educational infrastructure for human style discovery. Each decade produces more fashion-literate consumers, deeper industry integration, and proof that authentic style requires journey, not shopping.
By mastering established fashion capitals first, we build AI and cultural frameworks to "define the future in ways people can't imagine"—creating entirely new aesthetic languages rather than just predicting existing trends.
The name is intentional: When I was in my early twenties I'll never forget reading a magazine review of Madonna arriving at an event. "Madonna stepped out of her limo and preened for the cameras like the true narcissist she is." I remember howling with laughter. Only Madonna could make narcissism cool. I thought about that sentence for years and suddenly the word Narssica emerged. Not "go be a true narcissist and destroy everyone around you." But more like, "Take the elements of self love and pride in oneself and explore those emotions in a way that is personal and healthy." Which, let's be honest, fashion is about finding yourself and boldly declaring it. Real fashion doesn't say "excuse me but I'd like to look cool." It simply is.
